Mainline is a privately owned Family Business, operating a wide range of coach types that are suitable for all occasions and budgets. We offer our services to everyone from local budget coach hire through to top class coaches for corporate and tour operator clients.

We are a privately owned company and we supply our own immaculately presented coaches.  Our drivers are CPC trained annually and have the required CPC qualification for their skills.

All quotations and bookings are handled by our fantastic bookings team using our computer based coach hire system, providing our customers with the peace of mind that their coach hire will be carried out exactly to their requirements.

Mainline operate a very wide range of services including local school contracts, private hire for groups and coach hire solutions for UK and International tour operators. We also specialise in supplying touring coaches for UK and European tours supplied with professional tour drivers to ensure all tours are a success.

We also offer tailor made holidays for groups including coach hire, ferry crossings and hotels, as part of a package.

Mainline is member of the Confederation of Passenger Transport and is a fully bonded member of the Association of British Travel Agents (ABTA).

Mainline was founded by Howard & Joan Mainwaring in the late 1960’s.  Starting their business with a taxi, they built up the company to minibuses and then on to large coaches. As of now, Mainline operates 48 vehicles and has a large and loyal international client base.

Howard & Joan still work in the business with their son Chris, who is now the Managing Director of the Company.
